  • Electrolyte glycol wastewater
  • Electroplating recycling rinse water
  • Floor scrubber water
  • Flexo ink
  • Herbicides
  • Machine coolants
  • Paint spray booth wastewater
  • Parts washer rinse water
  • Petroleum & phenol wastewater
  • Plating drag outs
  • Plating rinse waters
  • Radiator repair shops
  • Spray washers
  • Soil remediation
  • Stamping compounds
  • Steam cleaner wastewater
  • Ultrasonic rinse water

Process Description
Wastewater Boiling
Vacuum is applied to the system and wastewater boils in the evaporation tank at 25ºC. Wastewater boils continuously with wastewater flowing into the tank at the same rate at which it is evaporated. Soluble salts become concentrated and are intermittently discharged by a pump.

Vapour Condensation
Water vapour flows through vapour tubes to the condensation tank where it is condensed to a pure distillate. Distilled water is intermittently discharged by a pump.

Heating & Cooling
The process is highly energy efficient as water vapour is condensed using cold refrigeration. Rejected heat from the refrigeration circuit is used for heating the wastewater.

Recycle Rate
Typical distilled water recovery is 80-95%.

Cold Evaporation System

The User Friendly System
  • Easy to install

  • All units are shipped preassembled. Place in location of choice, connect power and three pipes (feed in, product water, concentrate discharge).
  • Easy to operate

  • Push button start sequence allows the unit to be brought into operation quickly. Plant operation is automatic and computer controlled.
  • Easy to monitor

  • Vacuum, temperature and refrigeration gauges allow operating conditions to be readily monitored.
Large viewing windows enable inspection of the boiling wastewater and condensed water.
  • Easy to maintain

  • As refrigerant is used for both heating and cooling, the system has few moving parts. Maintenance requirements are minimal.
High Quality Distilled Water
The distilled water is of very high high quality ...
  • Dissolved solids (TDS) typically < 25 mg/L
  • Heavy metals (Cr, Cu etc.) < 0.01 mg/L
  • Herbicides < 0.1 mg/L
  • pH 6-7
  • Conductivity 5-20 Us/cm
  • Water is clean, free from particulate matter.
  • Water quality exceeds most town water supplies and is superior to softened water.
  • The boiling process eliminates most viruses and bacteria, thereby "disinfecting" the water.
Evaporation Benefits
